Recently, I got very interested in street photography. Well, more like the idea of street photography. It seemed interesting, observing slices of life of complete strangers. However, up until this point, I have always thought the wide angled, starkly contrasted black and white look wasn’t my style at all, so I didn’t dabble in it.
But people watching, walking, and photo taking being three of my most favorite activities, it would be silly not to dabble.
Last week, I went on a week long vacation to Victoria, BC, and tried my hand at a bit of candid street photography. The photos didn’t end up all wide angled, nor black and white… they’re more how I see the world as I move through it.
I don’t think there really is a strictly right way to do street photos. It’s all about documenting the moments the photographer notices. So here are some collected moments:
